Esther Hernandez

Esther received her Bachelor of Pharmacy degree from University of Otago in New Zealand in 2001. Esther has 21 years experience as a community pharmacist. She has undertaken further training to become a GP pharmacist to specialise in patient medication counselling and management in General Practice.
The role of a GP pharmacist is relatively new in Australia, however, GP pharmacists are common in countries like the USA, Canada, the UK and parts of Europe. GP Pharmacists have been recognised by the Australian Medical Association (AMA), Pharmaceutical Society of Australia (PSA) and many Primary Health Networks in Australia since 2015.
Esther will be working closely with your GP. She will be reviewing patient’s medications and making recommendations to the doctors to improve health outcome. She will also be providing support and education to patient’s on their medication where needed.
