Dr Nguyen obtained her Medical degree from the University of Queensland in 2006. She spent a number of years working in General Surgery before returning to the University of Queensland and obtaining a Masters of International Public Health in 2014. She is a certified lactation consultant, has a Diploma of Child Health and has completed further studies in early parenting support.
Marisa has an interest in early parenting support that considers the needs of infants and parents using a cue-based, flexible approach. She is accredited in Neuroprotective Developmental Care (NDC), otherwise known as the Possums Program. Marisa offers dedicated “Parent and Baby Sessions” to provide support in areas such as infant feeding, infant sleep and parental well being.
Outside of work, Marisa enjoys cooking, gardening and spending time with her young family.
