Dr Marisa Nguyen

Dr Nguyen obtained her Medical degree from the University of Queensland in 2006. She spent a number of years working in General Surgery before returning to the University of Queensland and obtaining a Masters of International Public Health in 2014. Following this she commenced her training in General Practice. While training in General Practice she has completed a Diploma of Child Health and further studies in lactation medicine.

Dr Nguyen enjoys all aspects of General Practice and has a particular interest in breast feeding, children’s health, family care, minor procedures and wound management.

Outside of work, Dr Nguyen enjoys cooking and spending time with her young family.

Dr David Hernandez

Dr David Hernandez graduated from the University of Otago in 2005 with a Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery and Bachelor of Medical Sciences(Dist). Upon completion of his medical degree, he interned at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in Sydney and then moved to the Illawarra region soon afterwards to pursue a career in Critical Care. David spent a number of years working in Anaesthetics and Intensive Care in St George, Wollongong and Shoalhaven District Hospitals before taking the plunge in to General Practice specialist training.

He is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and is always seeking to continue to advance his clinical practice. He is interested in all aspects of General Practice and has a particular interest in Musculoskeletal  medicine.

Dr Megan Lovesey

Dr Lovesey obtained a Bachelor of Arts at the University of Sydney in 2008, majoring in philosophy. She completed her medical degree at the University of Notre Dame, Fremantle in 2012. Dr Lovesey completed her hospital training in Wollongong. She also holds a certificate in sexual and reproductive health. Her interests include preventing and managing chronic health issues, women's health, mental health, dermatology and the diversity of general practice issues. Dr Lovesey is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.

 

Dr Daniel Loo

Dr Daniel Loo graduated from the university of Technology, Sydney in 2004, with a Bachelor of Science. He then completed his Medical degree at  Flinders University, South Australia in 2009. Dr Loo completed his Internship and Residency at Wollongong Hospital.
Outside of work Daniel likes Tennis, Rugby League and Motor Bikes.

Dr Jessica Lee

Dr Lee received her M.B.B.S through the University of Sydney. She is a fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) and has acquired a diploma in child health. She has a special interest in women’s health, and as a mother has an interest in child health and overall family care.

Dr Karen Trethowan

Dr Trethowan received her medical degree from the University of London over 40 years ago. She has a Licentiate of the Royal College of Physicians of London (LRCP) and a Member of the Royal College of Surgeons (MRCS).

Dr James Khoo

James graduated from the University of New South Wales in 1978  He did his residency at the Wollongong and Bulli Hospitals for four years before joining Dr Roy Hsu in general practice at 328 Crown Street, Wollongong. Whilst in private practice, he continued to work part-time in the Emergency Department of the Wollongong Hospital for 10 yrs from 1983 to 1993.

His interests, other than the practice and teaching of medicine, are fishing, skiing and motorcycling.

Nicole has been part of Crown West Medical reception staff since 2006 and has 18 years industry experience. Nicole has studied to become a Medical Practice Assistant with UNE Partnerships and helps in our treatment room assisting our RN. Nicole enjoys working in the treatment room and has a special interest in Aged Care and wound care management.

Corne Vorster

Our RN Corne Vorster is originally from South Africa. After immigrating to Australia, Corne completed a Bachelor of Nursing through the University of Wollongong.

Corne had two years experience as a Theatre Nurse, before moving to General Practice. Corne has a special interest in Women’s Health and Wound care management.
